When a seller asks, “How did the open house go?” they usually want more than the number of people who walked through the door.
Traffic matters, but context matters more
A useful recap can answer:
- How many groups visited?
- Were they active buyers, neighbors, or early-stage shoppers?
- What features received the strongest reactions?
- Which concerns came up repeatedly?
- Did anyone request a private showing or more information?
Look for patterns
One comment is an opinion. Five similar comments may be a signal.
When visitors repeatedly mention pricing, room size, condition, or layout, summarize the trend without turning the report into a pile of anonymous quotes.
Keep private information private
The seller needs the feedback—not each visitor’s phone number and email address. A clean seller-facing summary should remove contact details while preserving the useful property insights.
End with the next step
A good report should make it easier to decide what happens next. That might mean adjusting presentation, answering a common question, following up with an interested buyer, or simply staying the course.
